This episode goes against the grain of most everything we've been taught such as "Love your neighbor as yourself" and "Lay down your life for another." During the last 7 days He was on this earth, however, He basically did an about face and exhorted us to look out for #1 when He said, "Take heed to yourselves." What He meant by that is very relevant today!
What Jesus went through in his final days before He went to the Kingdom is a tavneet (exact picture) of what we will go through right before we leave this earth and enter the Kingdom.
